The most common questions from people just getting started.

Is Bombeco free?

Yes. The app has optional ads, such as watching one to get back into the round after being eliminated, and an occasional ad between matches. There are no in-app purchases. The browser shows no ads in the game.

Do I need to create an account?

No. The game identifies your device with a random code, with no email or password. Just type a name to play.

Does it work on phones, tablets and computers?

The app is for Android and iPhone. In the browser, on any device, you can join public rooms or rooms by code. Creating a room and playing against bots are app features.

How many people play together?

Up to four per room. Empty spots can be filled by bots.

How do I join a friend's room?

Ask for the 6-letter code and use "Join a room". If your friend left the room public, it shows up in the public rooms list.

Can I play without internet?

Yes, against bots in the app, and in a room on the same Wi-Fi network, even without access to the internet.

What is sudden death?

In the last 40 seconds of each round, walls start closing the arena from the outside in. It prevents stalled rounds.

Why won't my character move in one direction?

There is probably a bomb, wall or brick in the way. Without the kick item, bombs are obstacles for everyone, except whoever just dropped them.

How do ranking points work?

A match win is worth 3 points and each round won is worth 1. Only matches with two or more people count.

Is my children's data safe?

The game does not ask for email, phone or location, and asks the ads service for treatment suitable for minors. Details are in the privacy policy.

I lost connection in the middle of a match. Now what?

Go back to the room. The game recognizes your device and gives you back your spot, without showing you twice.
